Jessica & Stephen picked the perfect Fall day in November to exchange their vows in a gorgeous lakeside ceremony at Stone Church Farm in Hillsborough, NC. When I first spoke to Jessica about her day, she had one request and that was a "Lasher family photo" in front of the big red barn. Huge shoutout to DJ erik (dow oak events) for the megaphone assist because wow was it a large group.

Jessica opted to do golden hour bridal portraits at Stone Church ahead of time. This is a perfect solution for late Fall weddings with an early sunset and to help streamline the wedding timeline. The best of both worlds, formal bridal portraits and plenty of time to enjoy the day with friends and family and holy moly, did they turn out so dreamy!!

Jessica and Stephen exchanged their vows in a heartfelt and intimate ceremony officiated by their family pastor. As the newlyweds made their way back up the stair pathway, Stephen dipped his new bride with friends and family cheering them on from behind. I can't even get over the bright yellow fall foliage that surrounded the entire venue.

The immediate family met back at the carriage house for a glass of bubbly and the signing of the marriage license. The rest of the wedding guests enjoyed a cocktail hour on the patio under the magical bistro lights. We had the most perfect light for formal family and bridal party portraits and were able to get these shots quickly and efficiently so the family could join their guests at the reception.

The reception kicked off with announcing the wedding party and the newlyweds and the couple's first dance. Before sitting down to dinner, the two families completed the unity candle ceremony which was blown out during the lakeside ceremony. Family delivered toasts and a blessing to celebrate Jessica and Stephen and the guest enjoyed some of the best BBQ/brisket I have ever had and i'm a born and raised North Carolinian. Mad props to Southern Harvest Catering Company for a beautiful plated dinner service.
