Perfection is unattainable. I don't strive for perfection, I strive for real, raw, honest images.
Hey, I am Julie
~Wife to my high school sweetheart
~ "Mommy" to two little kiddos
~ Coffee-addict, Type 7 Enneagram
~ Low-key obsessed with tiny mountain towns
~ Adventurer at heart (travel, scuba diving & hiking)
~ Exceptionally good at living out of a suitcase, less good at unpacking it after
Most importantly though, I revel in taking on new challenges & meeting new people, making the most of this One Wild Life we live.
The name One Wild Life is deeply personal to me. In 2019, My mother was diagnosed with Breast Cancer for a second time, my kids were growing insanely fast and I was stuck in a job that didn't leave me full-filled. I felt helpless but knew that I could take control of how I wanted to live my life.
The name comes from a poem by Mary Oliver titled "Summer Day". The poem ends with the words "Tell me, what is it you plan to do - with your one wild and precious life?"
For as long as I can remember, people have told me that I have an eye for capturing moments, it is how I think and view the world. Sharing my passion and art with the world has been both exhilarating and terrifying but my insane love for it keeps me coming back year after year.
